As we start to approach the 151st anniversary of one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, it’s only right that we honor all of the many fashionistas that have continuously graced us with showstopping looks from the Met Gala. From Naomi Campbell to Cardi B, here are ten of the most iconic Met looks to remember and pin to your calendars this coming Fall.

Naomi Campbell

2019’s Camp Met Gala was by far one of the most memorable scenes to date. The theme took on a name of its own not quite like an actual camp scene, but rather with a more sensible approach and aesthetic. Naomi Campbell was one of the women showstoppers that stole the crowd wearing a pink sheer Maison Valentino dress. The look was paired with a pink feathered cape and lace embellished tights.

As we all know, the 2019 Camp Met Gala turned heads from all directions and of course, Ciara didn't come to disappoint. The singer graced the Red Carpet wearing a green embellished sequin dress by Peter Dundas with cutouts and jewels engrained from head to toe. She pulled the look off with a full brown fro and matching green jewel hairpieces to match.

The 2016 Met Gala was one for the books. As fashion has always been an ever-changing state, so has the technology behind futuristic designs and silhouettes. Beyoncé showed up to the 2015 Met ball wearing a nude latex gown by the one and only fashion house, Givenchy. The dress consists of authentic Talalay latex and pearls that are each priced at a whopping $8,000.

I think it’s safe to say that 2017 was an exciting year for many, including Rihanna when she showed up to the Met in a paper mache-inspired Comme Des Garcons dress made by Rei Kawakubo. Dressed to impress and of course once again winning the fashion world by storm, Rihanna’s dress took on an image of its own and was a perfectly crafted piece that displayed futuristic fashion and architectural design.

The 24-year-old actress always knows how to make a grand entrance anywhere, and with her personal stylist and lifelong friend, Law Roach, we can be assured that he will always have her covered in full head-to-toe glam. Zendaya sported a customary Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda ball gown. The vivacious bright hues foretell a tropical vibe, and of course, with the perfect shade of a bright orange lip, the look is to die for.

Jourdan Dunn

If 30 pounds for a dress doesn't scream chic and fabulous, I’m not sure what will! The 31-year- old high fashion model graced the 2019 Met Gala wearing a futuristic rose petal dress designed by Zac Posen. The dress was made with 37 3D printed rose petals and took over 1,100 hours to make.

If looks could kill, SZA’s 2018 Met look would be one of them. Wearing a blush pink Versace princess gown, the singer/songwriter also arrived in a gold halo headpiece and gold teardrops. Her seamlessly effortless look embodied the 2018 Met Catholic Church theme.

Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’os afro feathered inspired get-up was a fun and playful way to take on the 2019 Met Gala. Inspired by an African princess, the star graced the Red Carpet paying homage to Black art and Camp.

Cardi B

Cardi B’s feminism-inspired dress was by far one of the best Met Gala looks to date. Seen sporting a massive customary Thom Browne gown, the iconic rapper and singer always knows how to make a grand entrance.

Danai Gurira

Business casual doesn't have to just be for work. Danai Gurira’s tux pantsuit ensemble rocked the 2019 Met Gala. Seen sporting Gabriela Hearst, Gurira took the show by storm wearing Fred Leighton jewels and Jimmy Choo shoes.
