Let’s go back in time.

Imagine it’s early Saturday morning and you just had a restful night’s sleep after finishing a long, stressful week of school. While you’re half-awake in bed, you suddenly hear a loud, but catchy R&B melodic tune from your mama’s favorite artist and smell the fresh scent of Clorox® products that wake you completely out of your sleep. Although the music sounds so good to your ears, you can’t help but deny the fact that it’s a signal from your parents that it’s time to do your chores.

Saturday cleaning is a common tradition in the household of Black families. It’s safe to say that many Black kids can relate to the nostalgic feel of this experience and in turn, it’s now our weekend routine as adults.

When we were younger, cleaning and doing chores constituted as bonding time with family and continues to be a tradition that it is celebrated today. Almost every Saturday, it’s certain that a good tune would be heard to put anyone in a good mood in order to get through chores such as cleaning your room or mopping the floor.

Even as millennials, we continue to keep those traditions alive and refuse to shake the classic songs we heard as kids off of our playlists for cleaning day.

It’s important to know that you can’t enjoy Saturday cleaning day without great music of course, but also great cleaning products such as those from the  Clorox® collection. They are guaranteed to clean, disinfect and deodorize your home.
