“During energetic healing, you can become so relaxed you reach a state of sleepiness or fall asleep. Most people experience a moment of peace mentally as their only job in that moment is to relax. Energy healing sessions can help with immediate and long-term mental overload. In the moment and immediately after, the level of relaxation can help reduce the racing mind or feeling stressed,” Luminary Wings explained.

Tools to Mentally Declutter

Here are some simple things you can do in your own home or space to mentally declutter.

“Some great tools for decluttering the mind are journaling several times daily, [guided] meditation, or finding an unload buddy. An ‘unload buddy’ is a reciprocal person with whom you agree to share your thoughts and feelings free of pressure or judgment. Also, decluttering physical areas of your life, a digital detox, taking breaks, and more,” she mentioned.

Luminary Wings revealed that one of her favorite ways to mentally declutter is the use of essential oils.

“They’re used in various ways. The most popular ways are through topical application or diffusers. My personal favorite is taking a drop or two into my palms, placing my hands loosely over my face, and deep breathing for 2-3 minutes,” she said.

“Deep breathing has its own benefits, but adding the proper essential oils can amplify the benefits. Some great suggestions are grapefruit, orange, peppermint, and eucalyptus,” Luminary Wings continued.

The Reiki Master also advises people to “create a peace of mind where you can.” For instance she gives herself permission to take deep breath breaks at work every hour and a half.

“A practice I often suggest to my clients includes knowing your responsibility capacity and abiding by that capacity. Practicing task-focused output requires you to focus only on one thing for 10-15 minutes. People often multi-task without realizing it,” she said.

Another great recommendation is setting up boundaries.

“Be okay with saying no and having healthy boundaries with yourself and others. It really starts and stops in the mind with the perspective you choose to utilize. Once you have the perspective that you have permission to slow down, have a breather, and become rejuvenated it becomes your routine.”
