A new race for Sha’Carri Richardson to conquer means an excuse for a new hairstyle! The track star swapped out her signature fiery look and debuted a lovely platinum blonde with a hidden peek of blue. The track star, known for her variety of hair colors, recently posted a “hair dump” on Instagram including a bold, straight blue wig and a blonde-to-brown gradient lace front that proves she can rock a stylish look.

Richardson shared a video on her Instagram of a before and after look at her new hue. As the video begins, we see her sitting in a salon chair with her natural afro as she lip-syncs to a TikTok audio of Nicki Minaj saying, "I took a couple, you know, I took some time off to rest, and now it's game time, bitches." While the video transitioned to the second half of the audio, the athlete’s stylist revealed the luxurious look that is landing on our list of hair goals. The long, wavy platinum blonde locks were styled by Orlando-based hair stylist Brianna Renee.

Richardson captioned the Instagram post, "August 21 and I’m not playing nice 👊🏾." Celebrities like Lala Anthony, Flo Milli and YG shared their support for the track runner in the comment section.

This will be Richardson’s first appearance on the track following her cannabis-related suspension in June which led to her being left out of the Tokyo Olympics. Now that her month-long suspension is over, her highly-anticipated return to the track will take place this weekend at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon. She’ll be competing in a women’s 100 meters race against Jamaica's trio of Olympic gold medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah, silver medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and bronze winner Shericka Jackson.

Following her ineligibility, Richardson received supportive messages along with some not-so-passionate responses, but she has prioritized her mental health and won’t let the haters overshadow her positivity. We’re rooting for her at this Saturday’s performance and can’t wait to see more photos of the luscious style!
