If you weren’t aware, the number of Black-owned businesses has increased by 30% since the pandemic began and Black women are largely responsible for that growth. According to Black Enterprise, Black women across the country have turned their hobbies including cooking, hair design and coloring and even knitting into successful businesses during the pandemic.

As we continue to thrive in the industry of entrepreneurship, we must continue to educate ourselves, finding ways to acquire capital from lenders, or private investors and be smarter when it comes to networking. The education and opportunities are endless as well as available to us and The Revolt Summit provides a safe space for this to happen.

The REVOLT Summit x AT&T returns to Atlanta for two days of live talks, panels, performances, competitions and your favorite REVOLT shows. The lineup features some of the biggest artists, industry experts, tastemakers, and cultural leaders for a weekend you don’t want to miss.

Some of the headliners include Gucci Mane, Tamika D. Mallory, Assets Over Liabilities, Rapsody, Gia Peppers, Pinky Cole, GloRilla and more!

We had a chance to catch up with Revolt’s CEO, Detavio Samuels, and asked him why black women should attend the summit and what exactly can they take away from being there?

Detavio Samuels: Black women have undeniably contributed to the overall success of culture in major ways and we want to keep giving them access, resources, and a space to amplify their voices and achieve greater success. This year, we made it a priority to increase our women-centered programming, which features a conversation on the future of women in sports, a special Keynote from Caroline Wanga on the future of Black women, a discussion on the state of the Black community with Tamika Mallory, and more.

What exactly can attendees can expect from the summit this year?

Detavio Samuels: This year’s REVOLT Summit x AT&T is returning to Atlanta but it’s like no other. We remain committed to providing an immersive experiential atmosphere that celebrates the world of Hip Hop and Black culture, but we’re excited to further drive connection among inspiring activists, culture-moving artists and industry disrupters. The Future is Now –we’re unlocking access for the next generation to elevate and lead the future of Hip Hop, cannabis, community and more.
