Zaya Wade is the star of yet another chic fashion campaign.
The stylish daughter of Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union is runway ready in the latest Miu Miu campaign. The campaign is for the brand’s Miu Miu Live! collection for fall/winter. Along with Zaya, the campaign features actor Mia Goth, model Amelia Gray Hamlin, singer-songwriter Ethel Cain, and several others.
The photos were shot by Zoë Ghertner. The models were styled by Lotta Volkova with Edward Quarmby’s handling creative direction.
This latest campaign is Zaya’s second collaboration with Miu Miu. Her first time working with the brand was for her runway debut during the its March show at Paris Fashion Week. Dwyane and Gabby were front row at the show giving Zaya tons of love as she walked the runway.
Giant Support System
In an interview with InStyle, Zaya said Gabrielle has been one of her biggest style inspirations since she was a little girl.
“When I was a kid, I used to take her heels and catwalk in them, which has clearly paid off, but I don’t do that anymore,” said Zaya.
Zaya landed her first-ever magazine cover just this year with DAZED. In her interview for the magazine, she said her family is everything to her and a “giant support system.”
“They are such a giant support system and have always been there for me,” she said. “No matter what happens, I feel strongest when I’m with them.”
She added that she and her family are continuing to grow together.
“So many big changes have happened over the last couple of years with me, but also just in general. I think it’s not my job, but it’s my honour to continue and further my family’s education and appreciation for the entire LBGTQ+ community as we grow together,” Zaya said. “As our understanding of acceptance has broadened over the past couple of years, we have made the strides to keep ourselves educated and combat the ignorance.”
